Hello everyone and welcome to our programme for 2022 Llandrindod Wells Victorian Festival. It is such a joy to be able to offer this programme given the events of the last two years. The 2020 Festival was cancelled and there was uncertainty over last year’s until five weeks beforehand when it became ‘all systems go’.
This year my committee and I have had more time to consider the upcoming Festival carefully and, while we have kept some favourites, we have implemented some changes which we hope you will like.
Particular thanks must go to Llandrindod Wells Town Council for their funding and to Hotel Commodore and Albert Hall for their supports with our evening venues. Thanks also to the many groups and individuals who are supporting us in various ways. And my sincere gratitude goes to my fellow committee members for their work not just during the Festival itself, but throughout the year.
Finally I must thanks Chris Hartley who has stood down as Administrator this year due to ill health. He has done a sterling job having taken over the festival in 2016 when the Festival was having a very difficult time. He remains a valued Committee member.
In conclusion I sincerely hope that you will find something in this programme to whet your appetite. I look forward to seeing you on Temple Gardens, at a talk or at an evening event.
